My Name is Karoline, I’m a filmmaker and video creator with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Production from the University of West London and I live in Vienna, Austria.

I love turning ideas into motion, whether it’s after movies, ads or short films. My passion lies in bringing visuals to life through both 2D and 3D animation, exploring creative possibilities with tools from the Adobe Creative Suite and Blender. Besides that, I also collaborate with YouTube creators working as a freelance video editor, combining storytelling, motion graphics, and cinematic techniques to craft engaging content.

For me, filmmaking isn’t just a skill – it’s a way to express ideas, emotions and stories. My workflow blends creativity with precision, guiding every project from concept to final render with energy, care and attention to detail.

FILM & VIDEO PROJECTS

I create a wide range of visual content, including after movies, 2D and 3D animations, music videos, commercials, live concerts, YouTube videos and more. I independently handle every step of the production process – from conceptualization and shooting to all aspects of editing  and post-production aspects. Additionally, I design my own graphics, logos, thumbnails, often bringing them to life in complex animations.

YOUTUBE/VLOGS

I edit YouTube videos for Lisa Pestschansky, a successful Vienna-based content creator with over 100K followers on Instagram.

Her channel features food vlogs from around the world - capturing authentic flavors, cultures and stories through travel.

My editing focuses on pacing, storytelling and atmosphere, bringing her culinary adventures to life in a way that feels both dynamic and personal.

MUSIC VIDEO - MORGENBLÜTEN

A heartfelt project created in my hometown, Eisenerz, Austria - a small place surrounded by mountains and memories. This music video captures the spirit of a local Bohemian brass band, blending their warm, traditional sound with cinematic shots of the landscapes I grew up with. 

Shot with care and dedication, the project captures more than performance. It captures a community, its landscape, and the timeless bond between place and sound. 

 

With more than half a million views on YouTube, it has become a reflection of where I come from and the melodies that still feel like home.

AFTER MOVIES

I create after movies that capture the energy, atmosphere and emotion of live events.
From concerts and festivals to conventions, my focus lies in transforming real moments into cinematic experiences.
I aim to capture the heartbeat of each event through dynamic editing, carefully selected music and emotionally engaging storytelling.

AUSTRIA COMIC CON

I’ve been part of the Austria Comic Con Crew since 2019, where I combine my passion for film and pop culture.
Since 2021, I’ve been a member of the Social Media Team, creating after movies and highlight videos for the conventions social platforms.
My work includes filming the popular Cosplay Contest, interviews with the special guests and capturing the unique atmosphere that makes the event so special each year.

BA FINAL PROJECT

THE ILLUSION

 

A short film produced by myself as final project for BA Film and Media production at the University of West London.

The Illusion talks about the dark world of social media addiction, focusing on the story of a young man named Jason, whose life has been defined by his social media addiction for a long time.

Despite the negative impact on the relationship with his friends and roommate but also his university, Jason is unable to break away. Through a powerful visual narrative, the movie shines a light on the harmful effects of social media addiction.

 

The film challenges viewers to reflect on their own relationship with social media and recognize the importance of finding a balance between the virtual world and real-life experiences.

 

The film is available with german and english subtitles.

POSTER ART

NITSCHE KRACHERL

This is another project deeply close to my heart, which is inspired by my family’s long-standing beverage brand. A tradition that began over a century ago, when my great-great-grandmother created the very first bottles of “Nitsche Kracherl.” What started as a small, handcrafted lemonade in the mountains of Eisenerz, Austria grew into a family legacy that my mother has been running for more than 20 years.

I practically grew up in the company, surrounded by the sound of the clinking of glass bottles and the warm chaos of family members working side by side. Our "Kracherl" aren’t just lemonades - they’re memories bottled with care, stories passed on through generations.

To honor this heritage, I designed a series of nostalgic posters that celebrate the legacy of Nitsche Kracherl, blending vintage charm with a modern visual twist to honor the tradition behind our beloved self-made family drinks.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

SISTERS FESTIVAL @ ARENA WIEN

In 2024 I managed the social media presence for the Sisters Festival and helped shape the festival’s visual communication. I conceptualized posts, planned, filmed and edited videos, managed the entire Instagram profile and scheduled and published content. During the festival, I captured footage on-site for the after movie to convey the energy and atmosphere of the event. The festival had more than 1,500 attendees.

This project was especially meaningful to me because of the festival’s message: an event entirely organized by women, both on stage and behind the scenes. I put a lot of energy and joy into this work, as I strongly connect with the vision and empowerment the festival represents.

ADVERTISEMENT

NINTENDO SWITCH

During my studies at UWL, I created two advertisements, including one for the Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing Special Edition. I rented the university studio and took full creative control, planning and filming the commercial with professional lighting and camera equipment. This project allowed me to bring my vision to life and experiment with cinematic techniques to make the product truly stand out.

2D ANIMATION

ANIMAL CROSSING ADVERTISEMENT

The second advertisement was a 2D animated ad telling the story of how the three characters ended up on the Switch dock. I designed all the illustrations in Adobe Illustrator and animated them in After Effects. This project was especially exciting for me, as it allowed me to fully unleash my creativity and experiment with animation techniques to make the story engaging and fun.

Both projects gave me the opportunity to combine technical skills with creative storytelling and I poured a lot of energy and passion into bringing them to life.

The program is so powerful and although I always thought it would be impossible for me to work with  it, I realized that I actually enjoy working with it a lot. I especially love creating satisfying 3D animations, because they allow me to combine many different areas of the software into one project.

3D ANIMATION

In 2022 I took a VFX Design course during my bachelor’s degree, where I discovered my passion for Blender. Through this course, I learned that with the right knowledge, you can create an incredible variety of things.

MOTIONDESIGN

This is a sample video showcasing my motion design skills. I uploaded it here for demonstration purposes only - all numbers, names, and data in the video are fictional.

It truly reflects my passion for bringing ideas to life through motion, creating stories with visuals, text animations, and illustrations, and experimenting endlessly in After Effects.  Being creative with video, text animation and illustration is where I feel completely at home.

 

PODCAST

As part of my bachelors degree, I produced a podcast episode. I planned and conceptualized the entire project, carefully researched and created the interview questions and handled all aspects of audio editing myself. The episode features Giulianna, a friend from Berlin, who studied Film and Motion Design and now works professionally in the video industry.

This project allowed me to develop my skills in audio production and creative planning, while also giving me the opportunity to connect with professionals in the field and gain insights into their creative process.

AUDIOVISUAL ESSAY

I dove into the world of cosplay to create an audiovisual essay for my studies. I researched the topic for weeks and brought it to life by combining stock footage with my own recordings from the Austria Comic Con. This project was a playground for experimenting with visual storytelling, blending sound, images and editing to communicate ideas in a dynamic and interesting way. It also allowed me to push my creative boundaries and explore new ways of expressing stories through video.

INTERVIEW

I helped creating an interview with Markus Riedler from Napalm Records, a well-known Austrian record label. I handled the camera work and edited some footage, alongside with my Cousin. This project allowed me to gain early hands-on experience in filming and editing, while working with a professional person from the music industry.
